Gaelic Gospel Singing Workshop, Inverness

Mary Ann Kennedy, Gareth Fuller and Paul Watson will be leading a weekend of workshops and two special showcase performance slots supporting the fundraising for Mòd Inbhir Nis 2020, all part of a whole lot of exciting things going on this weekend looking towards the National Mòd coming back to the Highland Capital.

As ever this is an open invitation to anyone who wants to be a part of the most exciting sound in Gaelic choral music today! We will be very happy to see old friends and encounter new voices alike.

Saturday 14 March

  • Workshop from 11:00am to 5:15pm in Kingsmills Scout Hall.

  • Mòd Inbhir Nis are providing a ‘soup & pudding’ lunch in the Scout Hall for £5 per person (pay on the day) with all proceeds going towards fundraising for Mòd 2020.

  • Soisgeul will sing a 15 minute slot at the Mòd 2020 fundraising ceilidh in Jury’s Hotel (Old Thistle Hotel) with New Tradition from 7:30pm.

Sunday 15 March

  • Workshop from 10:00am to 12:15pm in Kingsmills Scout Hall

  • We will then head to the Eastgate Centre where we will perform in the afternoon.

  • Soundcheck at 1:15pm, performance at 2:00pm for a maximum of one hour.

Other information

  • Choristers must book their own accommodation and travel.

  • The fee for the workshop is £10, which must be paid in advance before your registration can be finalised. Payment details will be sent to you when you register.
